Split Rail Fences, Also Commonly called Post and Rail Fences
All of the following pictures of fences were built by A+ Fencing professionals.
We use fence grade cedar on all of our wood fences.
All posts are set at a minimum of 2 feet deep , and are set in concrete. We use ring shank, weather coated (hot dipped galvanized) nails on our rails and pickets.
We recommend that a weather sealant is applied to the fence after it is built and periodically to prevent fading and deteriorating.
Split-rail fences are built at either 4 or 5 feet high.
We build split-rail fences with either 2 or 3 rails that are usually 2x6x8 or 2x8x8, but we also do 2x4. We also install rustic styles of hand split rail.
The posts are usually 4x6 or 6x6, but we also do 4x4. They can be bevelled or slant cut.

Prices range from as low as $14 per linear foot for 4x6 posts and 2x6 rails and $19 per linear foot for 6x6 posts and 2x8 rails. Includes installation.
